We recently hired a motorhome (1st time) from Melling Motorhomes for our NC500 trip around Scotland, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.

What really stood out was how personal and supportive the whole process felt. Before we drove away, they took the time to properly walk us through the van and make sure we were completely confident with everything. There wasn’t a single part of the vehicle or setup that we didn’t understand, which made a huge difference when setting off on a big trip with a dog and a 12 week old baby.

Throughout the journey, we always felt like they would be available if we needed anything at all. That level of reassurance and customer care genuinely made the experience so relaxing and enjoyable.

We saw several other people travelling the NC500 in Melling Motorhomes vehicles, and their vans consistently looked modern, professional, and well cared for.

If you’re considering hiring a motorhome, I’d absolutely recommend Melling Motorhomes I certainly won't be going anywhere else. Competitive pricing is important, of course, but the real difference is the quality of the product, the professionalism, and the confidence throughout the journey. So in early may myself and my family decided to travel to Paris in a motorhome and go to Disneyland. This was our first time. My 4 year old daughter has autism and her safe place is in a vehicle and knowing we couldn’t fly this year I thought this can kill two birds with one stone as they say, a holiday and being in a vehicle. Honestly the guys at Melling motors were so helpful from start to finish. Very upstanding about our needs especially for my daughter. The motorhome itself absolutely stunning and very clean exactly like the pictures. They send you links which are very easy to access and view about how to use things in the motorhome but I still called John to double check. Ha ha he was very helpful. Honestly I could go on but honestly a great company fantastic group of people. Excellent support and service from the first call we made.  No pressure to book a MH, they answered all my questions and sent a video of the MH too.  Easy location to find. Immaculate MH and all instructions on how to use it explained well.  Easy to drive, it was automatic.  Good Ts and Cs.  We even had a slight prang of the wing mirror while away in Wales,  no fuss made, asked that we were ok and sorted swiftly on return. We hired a MH for 2 adults and 2 large boys. WOW… what an incredible experience! Thank you for providing the most perfect service from start to finish.

Myself and George turned up on a complete whim after deciding the night before that we might attempt the NC500, with six kids and no booking!

From the moment we walked in, Kelly made the entire process an absolute breeze. We walked out with two motorhomes booked for the following week, we couldn’t believe our luck!

The motorhomes drove effortlessly and were equipped with all the latest mod cons, everything you could possibly need for comfort and cooking.

I genuinely cannot fault you or your team. We’re already looking forward to hiring again!

I’ve already spread the word… nothing was ever too much trouble

We hired a small Kronos Compact 590 motorhome for our holiday to Northern France .From our initial enquiry through the booking process and during our time out of the Country we found everyone at Melling to be helpful and friendly .Both collection and drop off times were convenient and well organised .The  motorhome was clean and well equipped and gave us and our French Bulldog adequate space and comfort .There was sufficient equipment to utilise on site facilities or to stay where these were not available for a couple of days .
The size of it made it easy to drive and park .We
used the  Tunnel Channel Crossing and once again it was easy to manoeuvre on and off the trains .

Staff were great to deal with, Claire & Mel, professional service from start to finish, hired a 4 berth motorhome, nothing was too much trouble and when I needed help, John talked me through the problem, the motorhome was clean and everything was working, the perfect tool for the NC500, one of my favourite holidays away ever and I’ve had a few 😆😂 thanks everyone for a fantastic service.

Very last minute we needed  a m/h the staff(ladies) were fantastic and made it happen. The m/h was brilliant I absolutely loved it, easy to drive, had everything that we needed. Everything was explained before setting off and then there’s a video if you get stuck.

2nd time of hiring from Melling Motorhomes and on returning the van, weve booked again. Kelly and the staff couldnt be more helpful and provide any advice you need.
The vans are all maintained and cleaned to a very high standard, pack the van off you go.
They have different layouts available for families or couples and really easy to set up when you get to the site. Would recommend Melling whether you are hiring or buying from them.
